This is a list of ways to help you start or improve yourself on public speaking, whether it be at school, a club, or a conference. I would like to point out that these pointers are in no order so take them as you will and I hope they help you succeed in public speaking.

1. Know the Subject – Nothing is far worse than having no clue on what to say, answer questions, or continue in conversation with someone.

2. Know your Audience – Know what people came to listen to you for in detail for what they want to know your opinions and more about on.

3. Have some Humor – Throw in a few jokes, don’t try to act perfect because no one is, also keep these jokes from making you look foolish.

4. Think before you Speak – Know some basic ideas in which you are going to speak on, writing notes can also help a bunch.

5. Maintain Momentum – Keep away from saying uhhh or hmmm, take a short pause if your lost on the idea.

6. Never change, and be yourself – If you want to talk about a certain issue or subject, say it! There will always be at least one person who agrees with you.

7. Connect with your Audience – Look into some of their eyes and keep looking around the room, never stare at someone or especially the podium.

8. Keep active with your Audience – Before or after your speaking talk with the listeners, ask them what they thought or whether they have any questions on the topic.

9. Passion, Passion, Passion – Be passionate about the topic. Tell them why its great and the features with passion, but don’t become big headed.

10. Improvement – Whether this is your first time speaking or your hundredth, your no expert so find ways to improve on your speaking fluently and overall feedback from the listeners.

Since the recent announcement by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act or DMCA some touchy subjects have been put to the legal status. Jailbreaking is the process of hacking your iPhone, iPod, and iPad to allow third party software and to unlock your phone to another GSM carrier such as T-Mobile. For awhile Apple was in a court battle to say that jailbreaking is illegal, although it still does void your Apple warranty, jailbreaking is now a process any owner of an iDevice can do. The popular jailbreak at the time of this post is JailbreakMe.

The DMCA also cleared up the subject of DVD ripping. DVD ripping is to take a DVD and burn it onto a computer to make a digital copy of this movie. This is only legal if you own the DVD you are ripping. When ripping and distributing to friends by online or making them a DVD is still highly illegal which will get you some expensive fines. Also, if you do not own the DVD and got it from a rental store or an online service like Netflix it is still illegal.

Your welcome to read up more on the Digital Millennium Copyright Act here for more information on the Internet legal process.

Disclaimer: We recommend doing this at your own will and we take no countability if anything is to go wrong with your device.

For the past couple of weeks, many people have been leaving Facebook due to many privacy issues. These issues have not been fixed by Mark Zuckerberg or any developers of Facebook. In their terms they say "We protect our users privacy and will never share any of their data", I believe this to be true and due not give out personal information to other companies for a commission. Facebook is not sharing your data like a good company, although your privacy may be at stake with huge flaws in the Facebook privacy settings allowing your data to be taken and viewed without being "friended". By default your privacy settings are OPEN, to have everyone on the internet view them. To change these settings you most go to your account settings tab, then privacy, and then to change them to your liking.

For the past couple of weeks, many people have been leaving Facebook due to many privacy issues. These issues have not been fixed by Mark Zuckerberg or any developers of Facebook. In their terms they say “We protect our users privacy and will never share any of their data”, I believe this to be true and due not give out personal information to other companies for a commission. Facebook is not sharing your data like a good company, although your privacy may be at stake with huge flaws in the Facebook privacy settings allowing your data to be taken and viewed without being “friended”. By default your privacy settings are OPEN, to have everyone on the internet view them. To change these settings you most go to your account settings tab, then privacy, and then to change them to your liking.

Last night, after being upset with my privacy and some users on Facebook, I chose to make the first step in leaving Facebook, disabling my account. By default you cannot delete your Facebook until after two weeks of thinking about it, within these two weeks you can recover your account at any time. This is a great feature to prevent users from deleting their account out of rage, but this feature lacks the option to delete your account until two weeks if your truly serious about leaving Facebook. Facebook has a survery asking “Why are you leaving Facebook?”. Facebook asks this so they can better their service like any other company wants to do. I understand privacy is a hard thing to fix in only a few weeks, but this has been a problem from monthes on end and has only gotten worse.

Facebook, you really need to get your act together before you lose most of your users whom are scared by their online life. Online privacy is a huge deal and Facebook needs to fix their privacy settings and who can view it. What would happen if your information was stolen or used for a phishing scam at the worst. This could happen to you next, at this point I suggest either two things to ALL users of Facebook. 1, either change your privacy settings immediately to strictly accepted friends. 2, to disable your Facebook account until Facebook pushes out a privacy update. Facebook please fix your privacy system before you keep losing your users, this is a bad business model.

Mobile news and blogging is becoming more and more popular. Here are some tips on how to succeed with coverage and posting to a blog while on the go. Smart Phones are becoming a powerful device to do this on.

1. If your going to try and record video for a blog on the go I sugguest a video camera application. Whether this is recorded directly to the device or streaming to a service like Ustream. This is very important if you are doing live coverage or reporting news events.

2. A key feature to mobile blogging is having an application to write or record notes. Evernote is a great solution for syncing notes between your mobile phone and computer. You could also have the option to record a voice note if you prefer that way of note taking.

3. While blogging on the go, you will need a mobile phone, tablet, or netbook. Having those it is important to have a strong connection. I recommend getting a mobile plan on your phone or an EVDO modem such as the Mifi.

4. This tool requires your blog’s software. This blog is running WordPress, I would suggest downloading their app for mobile blogging on your SmartPhone.

5. Finally, I would recommend Google Apps for their fabulous apps on mobile devices. This includes: email, documents, calendar, and more! Google Apps helps people keep in touch with you and what your up to. It also keeps your day on track and productive.
